Ethereum's $10,000 Target: Seven Upgrades and Ecosystem Vote by 2029
According to reports, Ethereum has released a long-term planning document called "Strawmap" to help investors assess the potential for the asset to reach $10,000 by the end of the decade. Introduced by Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake, the document outlines a path for base-layer upgrades through 2029, including seven forks and five broad targets. These targets include a faster Layer 1, higher throughput, post-quantum security, base-layer privacy, and a scaling architecture that integrates Layer 1 and Layer 2. The roadmap aims to reduce long-term failure risks and improve the chain’s economic usefulness. Vitalik Buterin emphasized the roadmap's importance, noting that Ethereum's design must evolve component by component.
